Partners in Community Safety is organizing a three part Violence Prevention Series in Canaan, Ct.
The first presentation, on Gun Safety will be held on Thursday, May 24th at the Bittermann Center, 2 Daisy Hill Road, Canaan, Ct. Speaker is Mary Ann Jacob, gun owner, and clerk librarian who survived the Sandy Hook mass shooting. Pizza and soda will be served from 6-6:30pm and the presentation will be from 6:30-8 pm with time for a question and answer session. Babysitting will be provided.
The 2nd presentation on Domestic Violence, with speakers from Women’s Support Services, will be held on Thursday, June 28th. Again, pizza and soda will be served from 6-6:30 pm and the presentation will be from 6:30-8 pm, with time for a question and answer session.

Babysitting will be provided.

The 3rd presentation on Substance Abuse, with speakers from McCall’s and Mountainside, will be held on Thursday, July 12 with pizza and soda  from 6-6:30 pm. The presentation will be from 6:30-8 pm, with time for a question and answer period.

Babysitting will be provided.

The Partners in Community Safety are St. Martin’s of Tours Parish, Northwest Corner Committee for Gun Violence Prevention, Women’s Support Services, Northwest Corner Prevention Network, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation.

The theme of our talks is “Help your neighbor, help yourself”,
