WORLD WAR I IMPACT ON MILLERTON

Friday, September 21 at 6:30 pm

The North East Historical Society and American Legion Post 178 with the Dutchess County Historical Society and Dutchess County Historian Will Tatum will present stories about those who served in the Great War and the impact on our home front. A picnic-style meal is included.  $20 admission.

As a prelude, the NorthEast-Millerton Library will feature the 11-panel traveling exhibition “Overr Here”Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The traveling exhibition launched at the FDR Presidential Library in April and has been shown in Pleasant Valley, East Fishkill, Milan and the Dutchess County Fair. The backbone of the exhibition are the extraordinary photographs of Poughkeepsie professional photographer Reuben Van Vlack which have never been published in a complete way
