The Hotchkiss Chorus presents its annual spring concert on Sunday, May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Hotchkiss Chapel. A concert of 21st century American choral music will feature the music of Eric Whitacre, with music by Morten Lauridsen, Craig Hella Johnson, Stephen Paulus, and the premiere of new works by Anson Olds. This is fascinating yet challenging repertoire for the chorus to undertake.
The Hotchkiss Chorus is directed by Jack Brown who also teaches at Simon's Rock College and is the Artistic Director of Berkshire Lyric. The concert takes place in the acoustically ideal Hotchkiss Chapel and is free and open to the public.
Founded in 1891, The Hotchkiss School is a coeducational boarding school, located at 11 Interlaken Road in Lakeville, Connecticut. The chapel is located on ground floor of the main building. For more information on this and other arts events at The Hotchkiss School call 860-435-4423.
