Health Quest and Western Connecticut Health Network have combined to form a new nonprofit health system. The name for the new health system will be Nuvance Health. The new health system was created to provide communities across New York’s Hudson Valley and western Connecticut with more convenient, accessible and affordable care.
Mr. Friedberg has more than 25 years of healthcare management experience, most recently serving as President and CEO of Health Quest. He was instrumental in reshaping the strategic direction of the Health Quest system through growth and a commitment to medical education. Over the past five years, he has been focused on redefining and improving quality and operations of the health system and leading the initiatives to redevelop the hospital and ambulatory network campuses, inclusive of the Vassar Brothers Medical Center patient pavilion and the Marist Health Quest School of Medicine. Prior to joining Health Quest in 2014, Mr. Friedberg was the executive vice president of operations for Cadence Health in Winfield, IL., and president of Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL., then an affiliate of Cadence Health. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, and a Master of Health Administration degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
