42 years and going strong!
Conquering the Cobble . . . . In A Costume!
Each year the race has more & more costume-clad runners. We always encourage runners to wear a costume! If your “not so blistering pace” isn’t fast enough to land you a spot on the podium, your creativity just may be the ticket. In celebration of our 42nd running, we will recognize the Top Five creative costume-clad runners at our Awards Ceremonyimmediately after the race. Gift certificates, courtesy of local merchants, will be awarded. (In the event of rain/inclement weather, the Awards Ceremony will take place inside the Registration Building on the Kent Green.)
Help Support the Kent Food Bank and Julia’s Wings Foundation
We encourage all participants and spectators to bring non-perishable donations to support the great work of our Official Charitable Beneficiary, The Kent Food Bank, as they prepare for their busiest time of year. Donations can be dropped off at the Davis IGA during Race Week ~ or at the start/finish area on Race Day.
We also encourage you to support Team Julia’s Wings. The Julia’s Wings Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded by The Malsin Family after their daughter Julia, passed away from aplastic anemia in Jan 2012. Julia was only 13 years old. The Julia’s Wings Foundation mission is two-fold. The first emphasis is on carrying out Julia’s Wish with the goal of providing financial assistance to families of children with aplastic anemia so they don’t have to suffer through their disease alone. Click here for more info on this wonderful organization.
Thank You for your generous support!
