OCTOBER EVENTS FOR WOMEN'S SUPPORT SERVICES

Saturday, October 12 – Salisbury Fall Festival 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
WSS will have a tent on Main Street where we will be making purple tie-dye shirts and bandanas (free to participate!), and providing information about our services.

No photo description available.

Thursday, October 17 – Annual VIGIL in Kent at the Town Hall – 6:00 p.m. start, reception to follow. All welcome

Thursday, October 24 – film screening of “The Mask You Live In” at HVRHS – 6 - 8 p.m.
The Mask You Live In follows boys and young men as they negotiate America’s narrow definition of masculinity. Pressured by the media, their peer group, and even the adults in their lives, the protagonists confront messages about gender stereotypes as they interconnect with race, class, and circumstance, creating a maze of identity issues boys and young men must navigate to become “real” men. The Mask You Live In ultimately illustrates how we, as a society, can raise a healthier generation of boys and young men. Most suitable for ages 12 and up.
