Founder and Head Coach Genève Brossard’s career as an elite amateur boxer had a sustaining element that she is bringing to Berkshire Boxing Club: A strong and diverse boxing support network, based in the true care and compassion that grows from a shared discipline and devotion.

Boxing is an intense practice that challenges both the body and the mind. Strength, speed, stamina, and skill are important aspects of wellbeing and health. This is at the core of Berkshire Boxing Club’s fitness offering. The deeper work is our individual mental training. We are an inclusive community that supports everyone at every level in what is ultimately a solo journey processing our fears and obstacles, finding balance, and being our best selves. This philosophy applies to the moment we step into the ring to fight, or when we go for that lifting PR, or when we finally touch our toes in a flexibility class.

Boxing is an equalizer because anyone can join Berkshire Boxing Club, work hard, and get good. It is an ancient sport that now engages everybody, regardless of age, gender, sexual identity, religion, ableness, or background. Through the process of mastery, as well as the care of the self and others that comes with being a part of a dynamic fitness community, we gain an embodied self-worth.

As a training gym and fitness studio dedicated to sport and wellness, Berkshire Boxing Club provides a positive outlet for a wide range of participants—everyone from seasoned athletes to whole families. We are particularly committed to supporting Berkshire youth in developing fitness, discipline, skills, and friendships by attending to the distinct need that teens and kids have for focus and rhythm.

Sugar Ray Robinson once said, “Rhythm is everything in boxing. Every move you make starts with your heart, and that’s in rhythm or you’re in trouble.”

Berkshire Boxing Club starts from the heart and our rhythm is guided by our intention to share the connection and joy that we experience as a community. Berkshire Boxing Club is a labor of love. Come as you are! Everyone is welcome.
