On Saturday, October 5, 2019 Twelve Moons Coffee House welcomes singer/songwriter, Rob Benson. With a songwriting style that covers many genres from country to rock, Rob has performed throughout Connecticut, New York, Long Island and Nashville. He has written more than 500 original tunes, and has two solo albums, "What A Way To Live" and "Lost In Nashville".

On Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 6:00 pm Twelve Moons Coffee House is hosting a special event featuring the acclaimed musician, Peter Calo.

Peter has performed and/or recorded/produced with such diverse artists as Carly Simon, Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifah, Willie Nelson, Hall and Oates, Linda Eder, Sophie B. Hawkins, Phil Ramone, Andrea Bocelli, Jimmy Webb, Kris Kristofferson, Leonard Bernstein, Marc Shaiman, Frank Filipetti, Julie Taymor, Lesley Gore, Crash Test Dummies, Joel Grey, The Platters, Harvey Fierstein, Danny Serafine (Chicago) and many more. Calo has also produced numerous recordings including Carly Simon’s release, “Never Been Gone” and is featured in the documentary, “All You Need is Klaus” with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Carly Simon.  He was guitarist for Showtime’s “The Big C” and for the Tony and Grammy Award-winning original Broadway and film production of “Hairspray”.

Peter recently performed to a sold-out Carnegie Hall as part of the” Lead Belly Tribute”, performing with Eric Burton (The Animals), Edgar Winter, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Walter Trout and others. He contributed music for Carly Simons recently released autobiography Audio book, “Boys in the Trees. Peter was nominated for his 3rd MAC award for “Outstanding Ensemble instrumentalist”. In 2018 Peter was the Musical director and performed for the PBS Special “Jimmy Webb Live from The Kate” which featured Ashley Campbell, the daughter of legend Glen Campbell.

Peter has co- written songs with Jimmy Webb. Calo’s CD, “Time Machine.” has gone #9 Top Album on the Top 50 Alternative Album Chart With the single “Don’t Ever Go Away” #6 Song on the Top 50 Alternative Folk Song Chart. “Don’t Ever Go away has gone to #1 on some radio stations.

Peter has just finished scoring the film “Extra Innings” directed by Albert Dubah, and will be releasing his 2nd solo acoustic guitar album in 2019.

Opening the evening at Twelve Moons Coffee House will be Litchfield County’s own George Potts, a finger-style guitarist and tenor vocalist whose solo material ranges from old church hymns and bluesy tunes, to reinterpretations of Motown and Pop hits, as well as his own original songs.

Twelve Moons Coffee House is held at The Center on Main, 103 Main Street, Falls Village, CT  06031.  The evening begins at 6:00 pm.  Donations will be accepted at the door ($20/pp suggested).
