SUPERYOU SOCIALLY DISTANCED CONCERT AT DRIVE-IN

POSTED ON JUN 19, 2020 IN NEWS AND PREVIEWS

SuperYou is THE FIRST musical to perform a socially distanced concert on June 27 & 28 at Drive-In Theater on PICK UP TRUCKS, one month after Postponed New York City Theatrical Opening

After postponing its theatrical opening in New York City due to the pandemic, the powerhouse women of SuperYou (book, Music & Lyrics by Lourds Lane, Directed and Choreographed by JoAnn Hunter) will be performing a live music concert on Saturday, June 27th, and Sunday June 28th at 8 PM at the Four Brothers drive-in movie theater (recently featured on the Today Show) in Amenia, NY (www.playeatdrink.com).  “SuperYou Night” is a celebration of the power of our voices and the superhero inside us all.  Patrons who come wearing a cape get free giveaways and prizes. Tickets for the SuperYou live performance will include two movies and a donation to support the SuperYouApprenticeship Program, a Black Lives Matter initiative, which gives paid opportunities for women theater makers of color. With a veteran Broadway cast and an award-winning creative team, SuperYou has transitioned from a theatrical opening in NYC to a socially-distanced concert performance in the back of five pick-up trucks at the drive-in to remind people that theater is still alive.
